Bigg Boss 5 has been in a lot of controversy and a lot of people have commented their displeasure on Juhi Pamar winning Bigg Boss saying that the show has been rigged. If you look at the official channel on YouTube, the final episode had a lot of dislikes as well

We informed how Juhi Parmar was reported in Hindustan Times as the winner of Bigg Boss as early as December 20.  A section of the audience said that it was a smart TRP motive.  If Siddharth or Mahek had won, it would be a given but if you give it to somewhat unexpected a candidate like Juhi, people will start  talking more about the show which means more popularity. Do you think the results of Bigg Boss 5 were rigged ?

Mahek’s eviction was unfair according to many people. Public support brought her back in the game. She however lost the finale, people even said Juhi Parmar winning Bigg Boss was unfair. But then the winner takes it all…wait a minute..not all !

As one person wrote in this website, Mahek may not have won Bigg Boss 5 but she has won a lot of hearts. Secondly, her boyfriend Danish proposed Mahek Chahal marriage.

Well, what do you think, did Mahek deserve to win Bigg Boss 5 ?

Like a hero who makes a special appearance in the climax to give the heroine way, in walked a guy to meet Mahek Chahal. But instead of wishing her good and leaving, her boyfriend walked right up to her, went down on his knee and proposed marriage to Mahek Chahal, with a ring.

Danish is Mahek’s childhood friend and boyfriend since 4 years. He is a computer engineer by profession and the couple grew up together in Norway.  Both Mahek and Danish kept their relationship secret since their parents were not comfortable with it.  Danish says, “Mahek comes from a Sikh family, you know how complicated things are.

Mahek  was quite shattered with the way Sky had degraded in the show.  He proposed marriage to her on the finale of the reality show.  Danish says,  ”She called me moments after her eviction from the house and told me, ‘Danish, no money is worth more than a relationship. I don’t care about anything else. You just come down here and marry me right now.’ I believe in doing things properly or not doing them at all .”

Mahek rubbished the allegations spread by Pooja Bedi that something was brewing between her (Mahek) and host Salman Khan who was favoring her.  She says, “, “I have deep respect for him as he spoke up for women who were wronged in the house. I don’t feel insecure about their friendship. All these stories are being spread by Pooja Bedi, and it is awful. Salman and Mahek must have had conversations maybe twice during the making of Wanted. Had there been something more than that, I would have known. Our relationship is based on honesty and we discuss everything under the sun. ”

Well all we can say, Mahek may not have Bigg Boss 5 but she has a crore ‘pati’.

Juhi Parmar and Mahek Chahal were called on to the stage.  Salman Khan had promised Mahek that there was going to be the biggest surprise she has ever had, waiting for him. As they stood waiting on stage,  in walked a guy called Danish Khan, who proposed marriage to Mahek who accepted graciously amidst cheers. Then came the moment that all were waiting for

Sanjay Dutt was holding Juhi Parmar’s hand while Salman Khan held Mahek’s.  As the heart-beats of the two finalists paced at mile a minute,  Sanjay Dutt raised the hand of Juhi Parmar was Bigg Boss 5 winner.  There were fireworks, the entire ground broke into cheers and confetti.  Juhi’s friends Sky and Sunny Leone came and hugged Juhi tight. Mahek though a little shaken by not winning, seemed set for a joyous life ahead.

Juhi Parmar is the winner of Bigg Boss 5.  But do you all agree with it, was it fair or unfair ?

This declaration of Juhi to win the 1 crore was even before Mahek had made her wild-card entry. The logic was that there were men, three of them who were all self-centered and egoistic. Sunny Leone was not really meant to win the show, given her influence (negative considering her background) to the audience. So, the winner was definitely going to be Juhi. But what about the voting then?

Though we say that Bigg Boss is not scripted in terms of the drama inside the house, the process of picking up winners and evicting people is a suspect.  People got angry and said that Mahek’s eviction was unfair.

In Bigg Boss Season 3 also,  Raju Shrivastava was evicted suddenly when he failed to provide entertainment, a boring Vinod Kambli who came in did not really get time to establish himself and he was evicted.   In season 5, also Raageshwari was all good but she did not provide ‘masala’, so she was evicted.

There is a running joke going on which says TV serial actresses have a good chance to win. Last season, it was  Shweta Tiwari, this year Juhi Parmar and may be ‘Mrs. Vyas’ will be Bigg Boss 6 winner.

So, the formula is if you do drama and provide entertainment, you stay and if you are politically correct in the end, you win.

One thing is evident, Bigg Boss normally make ‘politically correct’ people win. It was Rahul Roy in 1^st season, Ashutosh in the second season,  Vindu in the 3^rd season , Shweta Tiwari in the 4^th season and now, Juhi Parmar in the 5^th season. Juhi was balanced in her views, and as far as possible did not take sides. She reprimanded Sky also whenever she felt.  Also Juhi Parmar has won a lot of support from the ladies.  A lot of people did not agree that Juhi  Parmar should be Bigg Boss winner.

Mahek  Chahal Runner- up

Bouncing back as wild-card entry, the favorite of the junta, Mahek Chahal proved that she is made of solid material as she won the runner-up. She showed strong sense of character in the house and became the darling of public for her ‘bindaas’ attitude. Pooja Bedi has been requesting fans to vote for Sky and Juhi Parmar. She is passionately writing on Twitter asking for support to Sky. However many people are not exactly agreeing with her views on Sky.

Pooja Bedi said that ‘Sky bashing’ has become a trend now. She also questioned how people in the house actually called ‘dhongi’ a bad word.

She came strongly on Mahek saying that she was an idiot. Pooja Bedi wrote, “”And she said if he didn’t weep blood her name is not mahek chahal! But we anyway know that’s not her name! Ha ha!what an idiot!”

Pooja Bedi challenged that Salman Khan should threaten Mahek for using words like ‘Sky wil weep tears of blood outside’ .  Someone replied saying that Mahek had said that the public would do it and that Pooja Bedi is blinded by her thought and is just acting desperate. Sid told Mahek that Pooja Missra had a rare mental problem which Bipasha Basu was shown having in a movie that starred John Abraham. He said that Pooja was delusional and there was no 6 feet 4” inch brother in her life as she had claimed. He added that Sky also has a mental problem.

Mahek and Sid had a misunderstanding among themselves which they sorted out themselves later. The five were guessing about how they would react when they’d be standing on the stage. They agreed among themselves as all five are actually winner as people still remember Khali, Dolly Bindra, Sameer also and not just the winner of Bigg Boss 4, Shweta Tiwari. Sky said that the best entertainer in all seasons of Bigg Boss has been Rahul Mahajan from Season 2, who went out of the house, just a couple of days before the show ended.

It was the last party at the Bigg Boss house today and everyone grooved to music in their own way. Finally, Bigg Boss called upon them the housemates as winners and told them to come up with a winning speech about how they would react if they had won the competition.

Amar in his speech said  that he was thankful that people had given him so much love even though he was new to reality shows. Juhi gave her speech reflecting on the audience love, Mahek said that she was grateful to the audience for having stood by her, even though she was being degraded time and again by some people in the house.

Sid in his winning speech said that he was a small-town boy, a common man who proved it with audience love. Sky said that he was thankful to God, Bigg Boss and the audience and finally said that he forgave the contestants in the house, as others wondered what was wrong with him.

Later before going to the bed for the last time in the Bigg Boss house, Amar told Juhi and Sky that Sid was foolish and had double-standard. He said that if he could stood up for Mahek saying that she is a girl, he should have done that for Juhi also.

Bigg Boss 5 rocked the TRPs as the most watched TV reality show in 2011. And why not, it has its moments, happiness, sadness, fights, seeking forgiveness bickering, emotions, tears, ridicule, friendship, ridicule, inspiring sermons, fun, comedy, confession, party. No wonder, Bigg Boss connnects like no other, because it is all about being human. As the show draws to its close, let us look at the best Bigg Boss 5 moments :

• Andrew Symonds’  Gabbar act – Andrew Symonds entered Bigg Boss house, his friendship and problem solving skills won people’s hearts. But the best thing was his sportsmanship, he sportingly did all the tasks and has fun too.  Mahek also taught him to make ‘rotis’ in the house.  Andrew Symonds’  Gabbar act of Sholay was brilliant and his Munnabhai act was cool. • The fights - Bigg Boss 5 saw the worst fights possible. Though abusive language was not so much,  people were busy indulging in character assassination. People who were involved in most fights were Sky, Sid, Mahek and Laxmi. Here is more information about Bigg Boss 5 fights

• Mimicry – Shonali Nagrani did an excellent mimicry of Mahek. She did a take-off on Pooja Bedi also. Vida and Shonali made the same oomph filled expression by puckering their lips, as they did a take-off on Shraddha Sharma’s Jalebibai act.

• Pooja Bedi kissing Sky – Most of the housemates were not too pleased with Pooja taking extra interest on Sky.  Sid and Shonali even talked about Pooja’s ‘kismiss’ act. But that did not stop Pooja Bedi kissing Sky before sleeping at nights.

• Sunny Leone’s pole dance -  Sunny Leone did pole dance and the house-mates were impressed with her skill and her cuteness. Little did they know that the seductive dance was embedded in her. Here is Sunny Leone pole dance video

• Farts galore – Flatulence is going to be an integral part when there are so many people in the topics.  The housemates were bitching about each other’s gas. Pretty women were not spared either. Amar went on to reveal the mystery of Shonali’s fart bombs while Shakti Kapoor talked about a top Bollywood actress farting in a romantic scene with Sanjay Dutt.

• Family in the house -  One Sunday, the housemates’ family and friends came to the house. Shonali was happy to see her boyfriend, Sid was ecstatic to see his mother,  Juhi couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw her husband. Sky’s sister Madhoo tried to patch up Sid and Sky.  Sunny felt lonely as her parents are not alive anymore.

• Mahesh Bhatt’s Jism 2 offer to Sunny Leone – Mahesh Bhatt came to the house with a proposal to Sunny Leone to do his movie Jism 2. At the same time, he inspired people in the house, and apologized to Shonali Nagrani for Vikram Bhatt’s irresponsible behavior.  Read more about guests in Bigg Boss house.

• Pool party -  The pool party in the Bigg Boss house was quite entertaining and the girls grooved along with the guys, making the proceedings an entertaining spectacle. Here is the Bigg Boss pool party video .

• Pooja Missra Syndrome – Pooja Missra was the most controversial person of Bigg Boss. 8 out of 10 confrontations of her with other housemates resulted in arguments or fights.  Read more about Pooja Missra syndrome.

• Salman Khan in the house – Salman Khan came into the house and reprimanded some people especially Sid and Sky for acting irresponsibly, using bad language and getting personal with each other.

• School tasks – The school tasks were cute, especially Mahek’s act as a school girl being a mention.

• Yamamotoyama – The famous Sumo wrestler was able to win hearts with his huge presence and a big heart. Check out Yamamotoyama in Bigg Boss house.

• Audience verdict -  The audience views on the  TV set and the reaction of the five contestants.

• Sunny Leone’s confession – Or should we say declaration ?  The famous adult star admitted who she was and her background, she also added that she was in it due to her own interest.  She was pleasantly surprised to know that the housemates were supportive and not judgmental. • The rain dance – The rain dance showed the sensuous side of the women. Sunny Leone, Pooja Missra, Juhi Parmar and Shonali Nagrani dazzled in their colorful sarees while Andrew Symonds took a dip in the swimming pool. Here is the Bigg Boss rain dance video .

• Forgiveness – The Bigg Boss contestants asked for forgiveness for the thing that they did. Sky was not too keen about it and thought the whole circle of fake regret (according to him) was not needed.

• The winning speech – Each of the five contestants gave their version of the winning speech, in the event of them winning the trophy.

1. Pooja Missra’s breaking the broom – Pooja Missra was more of a witch at most times but the fact that she broke the broom that day, confirmed it. It seemed like another being had entered her body as her accent changed and she screamed ‘ Do you want it coz you are asking for it it !!!”

2. Mahek Sky fight – Sky who kept quiet for the first few days lashed out badly at Mahek and insulted her, by going  personal and saying that she was ‘Preeti’ and she would do stuff in Goa, and that he knew a guy called Balbir in her life.  Mahek broke down and shouted that she would take revenge for degrading her this way. None of the girls supported Mahek strangely.

There was another fight between Mahek and Sky when Sky made some remarks on her face and said he would give her money. Mahek took it as him insulting her face that she said was injured through an accident.  She shouted back at him that he was insensitive and if he met with such an accident, he would know what it feels.

The fight between Mahek and Sid is still going strong and even yesterday, she got angry as he kept on nagging her and calling her’ dhongi’.

3. Pooja Missra Sid fights – Who doesn’t remember this ?  In one incident, Pooja Missra kept on provoking him by saying talk to my ass,  and he nearly kicked it.  Sid was angry because she had shut the door on his face.  Matters were going to be even worse but Sky had stopped him.

Another incident happened during the Diwali Diya task, when Sid’s hand accidentally touched Pooja Missra  and she brought the whole house down saying that he had hit her.

The other incident was so strong that Pooja Missra had to leave the house.  She shoved him to a side one night and Sid kept on screaming physical assault and said that he wanted her out of the house.

Finally, when Pooja Missra came back as wild-card entry, Sid apologized for insulting her.

4. Pooja Missra Amar fight -  Amar got very angry and confronted her just outside the bathroom. This was because she had used the word ‘chakka’  (eunuch) and he came over in a physically threatening manner. Amazingly, Pooja was cool and let him vent out. Amar of course, regretted what he had done when he saw the video, a couple of days ago.

5.  Pooja Missra Laxmi fight - This happened in the early days when only the girls were there in the house. Over a kitchen issues, Pooja raised her voice and Laxmi the loudest of them all, gave it back to her with her claps.

6. Pooja Missra Vida fight – Vida believes Pooja Missra is mad, and PM thinks Vida has a loose character. Both of them had a lot of fights, including one in which Vida erroneously said that  Pooja had stole her waist-band. In another ocassion, there was a big fight between Pooja Missra and Vida which was actually instigated by Sky.

7. Sky  Amar fight – Sky and Amar raised their voices about each other’s career and ‘girl friends’ in the house. Sky instigated talking about Amar’s closeness to Vida and this aggravated him and he was almost on the verge to hit him.

8. Sky Sid fights – Now this is again legendary stuff. Once, a friend of Sky, Sid turned into his sworn enemy. They clashed many a time, including at the swimming pool, in the kitchen, during the task where they had to stand guard for the king ‘Symonds’ and also recently when Sky continued to nag Sid. They have come to loggerheads and bring about issues like family background, women, parents, career etc in their fights. Sky’s sister Madhu who had come a a guest one Sunday, tried to reconcile them but it doesn’t look it may happen.

9. Shraddha Sharma Pooja Bedi fight – Pooja Bedi was a cooler one here, Shraddha apparently got very upset with Bedi trying to act as the leader of the house and giving directions. Shraddha kept on insulting Pooja Bedi for two whole days calling her ‘aunty’ and saying that she kept on changing male partners.  Pooja however did not react much and finally Shraddha stopped taunting her. This is one of the quicky forgotten fights of Bigg Boss 5.

10.  Amar Upadhyay Juhi Parmar fight – Amar Upadhyay came on quite strongly on Juhi Parmar, housemates separated them. Finally, Amar came back and apologized.
