
What is Pooja Missra syndrome (PMS) really? Why does Pooja Missra really get mad easily at one time and then becomes cool after some time. According to experts, the mental disorder that Pooja Missra is going through is bipolar disorder which is more common in women compared to men.
Bouts of mania, irritability and depression are evident in people with bipolar disorder. The manic activities include hyperactivity, less sleep, violent outbursts all of a sudden, making crazy movements with head, swinging hands wildly and wearing bright colored dresses. Irritability includes fidgeting, delusionary visions of being flamboyant and rapid speech pattern along with jumping from one topic to the other. Pooja Mishra seemed so desperate to be noticed in one of the recent episodes of Bigg Boss, that she even painted her t-shirt with kajal and lipstick. She later not only wore the t-shirt, but also went on to sport loud and ugly make up. Raageshwari Loomba, one of her friends from the show, confirmed that Pooja Missra was not taking drugs, she was just quite insecure because of the past problems in her life.

Depression in bipolar disorder means sulking, prolonged periods of sleep, loss of interest in activities, hopelessness, not interested in social interactions, mild memory loss, and lack of focus in tasks.
A psychologist Amit Bhawani says, “Most of the symptoms that Pooja Missra exhibits hints at bipolar disorder. Her violent behavior at times, increased level of aggression, hostile nature and then suddenly becoming cool later are evident signs. However, Pooja’s case is moderate and can be treated with psychotherapy and medications.”
Psychologist Sandhya Rawat explains “Imbalances in the secretion of neurotransmitters in the brain can cause depressive and manic episodes. It can also run in family and be genetic. The third reason is trauma to the head, due to accident or some personal tragedy.” She adds, “Pooja Missra needs more love and support and some aggressive and shunting behavior from others can only cause more problems” Here is more about treatment for bipolar disorder in women

Pooja Missra is known to wear bright colored dresses; some of them look out of place on her. The behavior of painting her face like a joker, being spaced out, getting into fights, feeling shunned are symptoms of bipolar disorder. A person can also imagine things and become more suspicious than needed, for instance, even though Amar’s rifle part hit her, she thought that he scratched her.
